THE ILLUSTRATED BOOK OF POULTRY contains fifty handsome supremely illustrated chromolithographs. The original Chromolithographs have become a favorite among art collectors, art galleries and interior designers. The illustrations are by A.J. Ludlow. He was also well known as a painter of poultry and cock-fighting portraits. Works by him also appear as illustrations to the Fanciers Gazette. These Poultry portraits are also discussed in two very interesting books Farm Animal Portraits by Elspeth Moncrieff (1996), and Lewis Wright's Poultry by Dr. J. Batty (1983) .
