A botanical publication which rivaled others of the era was REVUE HORTICOLE published in Paris France founded in 1829 by the authors of "du Bon Jardinier" The sister publication L'ILLUSTRATION HORTICOLE was a Belgian production founded in 1854 by Jean Linden, the famous "ORCHID HUNTER". Both publications shared the famous contributing artists of the era. L'Illustration Horticole was edited by Charles Lemaire and published in Gand, Belgium as a bimonthly magazine. Each edition featured a Chromolithograph botanical print.
This CD contains the entire collection of original images as well as a set which has been digitally enhanced in the transfer to CD as in the scan below. These web images are electronically watermarked, the CD images are not.
